Flickr Fun

This is a photo I copied from Flickr.  It is by Zopidis Lefteris.  It reminded me of the dog and cat we had when I was a kid.  When the dog got tired of playing with the cat it would sit on the cat.  It was very funny. What I didn’t get is how to create a link to the photo. Guess I’ll nose around Flickr a little more and  try to figure it out. Aha! So far I discovered you have to have a Flickr account to create a link to your blog.  The tutorial on Flickr is proving to be very helpful.  Since I already have a Yahoo mail account, it was easy to sign up for Flickr. 

The 7 1/2 Habits

Before I move on to the next exercise, just a quick comment or two about the 7 1/2 habits.  I’ve printed them up and am keeping them on my desk to remind myself that I can be an effective, confident learner.  My son tells me that I am smart, and can figure things out, I just let fear stop me.  I think that’s my biggest problem.  I worry I’m going to mess something up.  So I think if I can become more confident about this computer stuff that would be a big step. 

Welcome to Cozy Cat

Well, after about 10 attempts I finally found a domain name, and title for my blog.  I’ve always thought blogs are sort of like a vanity license plate.  They’re for some people, but not for me.  I’m starting this so I can learn about all the new technologies out there.  I’m hoping this will be fun, and that I’ll enjoy it.  My biggest obstacle will be finding the time to do this program every week.  Here’s hoping it all works out.
